With over 30 years of solid experience in Hospitality Industry- having worked with world class catering units internationally, Bhupiender brings his wealth of experience and provides a genuine earthly charm to our food service team.

Kaji Abdul Sannam
Head Chef Indian Cuisine
Kaji joined our team in July 2012 as Indian speciality chef and has worked his way from being a leading member in the kitchen team to the position of Head chef at flame n grill. Kaji’s passion for cooking and learning runs high and he has earned his stripes by working with leading catering establishments in India, West Asia and Singapore.
Always up for a new challenge, Kaji is also keen to share his knowledge and has featured in popular cookery shows on State Television and has demystified Indian Cuisine for food enthusiasts in Mauritius.

Ravinder Singh
Senior Chef Indian Cuisine
Ravinder joined flame n grill in October 2012, having previously worked with some of the well known Restaurants and Banquet houses in New Delhi. Ravinder is ever eager to create and deliver a great dining experience consistently to our guests by staying true to his ethos of originality and excellence.

Shrawan Kumar
Master Chef Indian Sweets
Shrawan grew up in North of India apprenticing with traditional Indian sweet makers and learning his ropes. He soon established himself as a capable chef and worked with reputed hotels in New Delhi for several years. Shrawan began to work with us in January 2013 and has managed to make an immediate and profound impact with his sweet and chaat making skills

Senior Tandoor Chef
Narayan joined us in October 2012 having previously worked with a group of restaurants specializing in Indian cuisine at New Delhi. He is a talented chef skilled in Tandoor cooking and makes continual efforts to combine the best of both the worlds and elevate Indian cuisine to the next level here in Mauritius.

Mahesh Prabhu
Culinary Director
Mahesh is the Culinary Director for Flame and Grill since November 2014. He combines a broadly artistic mind with a calm, pragmatic, and practical approach to running the day to day operations. With worldwide gourmet experience ranging from leisure hotels to luxury cruise liners, this extremely talented individual specializes in the bakery section and has incorporated several global jewels to our dessert menu. His culinary ideology stems from the fact that creativity is primarily the result of hard work and passion, leading to excellent guest experiences coming from simplest things; as keeping things simple is often the hardest thing to achieve.

Food and Beverage Manager
A diligent personality, Rajat is the Food and Beverage Manager for Flame and Grill since August 2014. Rajat’s versatile working experience has taken him to many cities in India, Mauritius, USA and Canada. Classically trained in diverse Indian cuisine, Rajat bring the zeal and zest of an out-of-the-box cooking approach to the kitchen evolving modern Indian cooking in the country. Creating and developing recipes and executing them to perfection is his passion. A chef and an artist alike, Rajat loves to motivate creativity and encourage expertise in his team. Through his passion and pride, he is determined to make Flame and Grill Kitchen the finest culinary home on the island.
